Introspecting depression!
Hello everybody!
Hope everyone is safe and healthy at home!
During this long pause which the nature has given us through the ongoing pandemic,there is a greater chance for everyone to talk and get in touch with all the people with whom we haven't communicated since long time.Yesterday,I was just thinking as to how well this natural pause could be utilized in terms of learning good things,moulding ourselves to better beings and mainly to overcome DEPRESSION!.
Well!This word is used very often,very frequently and I guess even the new bies would know it's meaning without the help of a thesaurus!BUT,don't you all feel the same as I do that this word is misconceived mostly all the time?I feel that there is large polarity between this and to feel sad.Here,I'm neither pursuing psychology nor will I,but generally speaking!
I had a friend who once said that she was depressed.When I asked the reason,she told me it was because of loosing few marks in the examination!!!! I used so many exclamations here because it was my reaction when I heard that.On the same day when these results were given,our professor walked in.He knew that the class's result wasn't good and everybody were in a low mood.He came quietly and told us a very good strategy acknowledging our state, which I want to share.It's called the "3F"strategy.
Whenever,things are not good,it's better to have these 3F's around
- Family
- Friends
- Foes
If you feel out of sorts,having a long conversation with Family and Friends makes you full of the joys of spring.Try it out sometime then.....why sometime?Call an old friend of yours after reading this blog and then comment down as to how did you feel.
Yeahh!Now coming to foes.Sometimes,your foes perform or excel in say one particular aspect in which you are unable to give core time.I wouldn't say inability here because it would be absurd calling it that way as everyone has skill in random things.So,when you're down in the dumps at this point of time,our professor told us that at this time,we would have greater possibility of overcoming that feeling and to excel in that particular aspect.If we try shaping us in that aspect...later on we would be at cloud nine because of the positive results which we've gained by that course of time.Also,should I tell you the best way which I do to get rid of this?Meditation.....yes,you heard it right! It puts you in the state of zen and you'll be swimming in the sea of serenity!
So,this is all what reverberates in my cerebrum when the word "depression" touches my tympanum.Hope you'll also feel that this strategy is worth using and do try out what I suggested above! Don't scroll up now...I suggested to call a dear friend of yours and have a great conversation yaar!
