College blog - 08

Hi guys!

Hope you all are doing well!

It's not been a very long time that a fresh blog has come out... Right? Right! ๐Ÿ˜‚ I think I should officially declare that this blog comes out quarterly...jk!

To begin with, I've graduated in June with decent grades and got admission for my masters in a pretty good University...(Clap for me!)To add on, one of my closest friends in college also got admission in the same University....

A minute here... you guys know that my UG friends were the greatest supporters in everything! News is that three of us have gotten into nice universities and one guy is yet to give his exam (we're sure that he'll do well!!)

Now back to the present, Snehal and I came to the University. First opinions first! The campus was lush-green, serene with majestic giant green deciduous trees forming a beautiful canopy along the uni roads with leaves shedding occasionally adding an earthy ochre in the nature's palette. Cats wandering and birds chirping all around. The campus was magnificent! (Campus ka naam thodi bataungi ๐Ÿ˜‚) Hostels and all were set!

I specifically want to talk about the professors! They were soo welcoming and humble. Because, as a student from another state, what I would primarily expect was a warm welcome and it was definitely there from the staff's side and I'm really happy about it. Then coming to the friends....I really really miss my friends a lot! I know it's too early to conclude that because, it's just a fortnight that I've come here, adjusted or may be adjusting. But somewhere deep within the thoughts, I really miss our friendship, the way all of us used to gel around, talk, understand, and support each other. But anyway, life's lesson is to teach and make you a stronger person everyday, so cheer up and pat yourself! That's how I made my mind up and if you're in your lowest points too... This has to be our daily dose of motivation ig

So yeah, I was talking about the students right! Hmm... The environment is quite usual for all of them but very unusual for me,as I'm an extrovert when it comes to college life. I guess it's because of the strong mentality of the students here to achieve something great in very short span of time and that pressure forming a cocoon and shielding them from being open to friendly discussions, gatherings, outings etc which for me are indeed required.... Again... again .. I'm really hoping that this would just be my prejudice and the other side of this would be the best! I guess apart from the Economics which I'm going to learn, I'll have to impart these things tooo... Haha! I forgot to mention this about the students that on the other side, they're very focused towards their goal. Determined would be a better word. The zeal to achieve something is always there from AM to PM within them. That's what I'm trying to imbibe as of now..

Talking about food... Maharashtrian food is pure love! I go to Snehal's house primarily to have her mom's homemade proper maharashtrian food and later to meet Snehal (lol) I've tasted too many dishes for the first time here like...Dabeli, Misal pav etc. But tea!! Mana Hyderabadi Irani chai ni beat chese chai raaledu ani na feeling... correct kada?(I meant that Hyderabadi tea is the best tea!) A big shout out to Iraani chai and osmania biscuits!!! I've come across different biscuits.. It took me 5 minutes literally to think and write the name of the "Nankatai biscuits" ๐Ÿ˜…

Then seniors..... As soon as we came, I met one of my telugu super seniors... She patiently came with us and showed the entire campus, the roads, canteens, shops, atm everything! Then we're introduced to the 4 sweet super seniors who were the answers to all our silly questions...Teju akka, Snehakka, Triveni akka, Deepthi akka....I really thank you guys!!!Then my maharashtrian super seniors were also very cool and chill! Seniors were indeed very helpful.

Language...ammaaaa!! I'm telling you na, Marathi is the most difficult language!! I can attempt to understand malayalam, kannada, tamil but Marathi.... Let's see what these 2 years in the uni would do to this feeling of mine๐Ÿ˜…

So after a week in the university, out of no where, on a fine day at 1pm, Snehal and I were desperate to go home!(Snehal was neutral but I badly wanted to go!) The story of going home begins with a long leave letter in Marathi to be signed by 4 professors!!! My HOD sir asked if I understood the letter and how I managed to fill it...I said a friend of mine helped... Well this friend of mine is your friend too.... Google translate!๐Ÿ˜‚

We roamed for 3 hours in each other's departments for the signatures and then.... at 4 pm sat down in the park to book tickets of the bus which was at 7 pm on the same day!! "Kahaani mein twist" is that none of us have ever travelled in a bus for such a long time that too in the night without informing our parents!( We informed them later and were scolded because of our solo travel anyway) We however managed booking tickets, boarding the bus at 8pm! Now, I really like traveling in the night...I imagined it to be very nice with the surrounding like "Yeh raatein, yeh mausam nadi ka kinaaraa" but no!! Not all all!! We were struck for 4 hours in a traffic jam!!! It took 3 hrs for us to move a couple of kilometres! The bus halted somewhere about 30 kilometre from our uni at 11 pm... We had dinner and lost in dreams. The next day, we woke up to "Mana Hyderabad!!!" Such great feel I had when I saw the metro station! ( I was never sooo happy earlier when I saw the metro๐Ÿ˜‚) The minutes hand moved 120ยฐ, I crossed 15 kms in the metro and reached home!

Now look at the time...you guys spent around 10 minutes reading this blog and I'm very thankful for it!!๐Ÿ˜I hope you enjoyed reading and took a little life lesson that .....eh you read na... I'm not going to repeat it again๐Ÿ˜‚....

That's it for today's blog..... Hope you loved the blog!

Stay happy. Stay healthy

Sharwani.
