It's HER day!
Hello fellow readers!
Hope all of you are doing well.
I guess patriarchy has started from the Vedic era and the graph has been increasing steadily from then. The advantages of a patriarchal society are definitely over shadowed by its negative side.Right from my teens, I've always been inclined towards the idea of actual feminism. Because in this modern society, both, patriarchal mindsets and patriarchal people have no place. How beautiful is the idea of women empowerment. How beautiful is the term "Womenism" (I don't know if this word exists, but it just feels nice to use it) I've constantly been contemplating about publishing a good post today and here it goes ....
Sometimes I wonder,
How her meek personality surprisingly transforms into a virago?
How her kajal-filled eyes show a wide range of spontaneous emotions?
How is she quick-witty in modulating her tone accordingly and resolving calmly?
How her smile turns hurdles into happinesses?
How her watch and bangles filled hands do diversified duties with ease?
How her effervescence protects from the negative essences?
How can she be mentally ill yet physically strong for her people?
How can her composed character always be adoring and inspiring?
How can she always be an accurate astute?
How can she bear all pain yet emit joy for everyone's gain?
How can her innate grace overpower her material fashion?
How can her 'role' be submissive when she would subsequently 'rule' the world?
How can she be an enigma when unknown, but a "woman" when known?
I've used the word woman as a metaphor purposely because I feel we just cannot call any person a "Woman"!
Her behaviour perfect, smile-radiant, face shining with the inbuilt innocence, mind devoid of darkness, eyes emitting magnificence, tone filled with confidence and sweetness,a character full of ideal qualities and a heart full of care, compassion and love...who's she? She's a "Woman"!
I remember one of my professors in college told me that usage of words in a proper sense makes a person more intellectual and from then, I'm trying to fit myself in that category. For example, we can't call everyone whom we talk to, as friends! The heartfully connected ones are, but the rest are just batchmates, colleagues or people from the same peer group right.I'm not hypocritic and I don't believe in women being selfish, mean, ridiculous, holding grudges, cunning or having any negative quality. It just doesn't fit with the word.
There's an interview when a famous director was asked as to how could he write such good characters for women. And there's this beautiful answer where he says why should he look for any sources when he has so many great women around him in the society!
There are so many "Women" around us, in the form of your mother, sisters or friends who have always been with you at all times and we sometimes forgot to appreciate their efforts in doing so. May be this Women's day, make it special to all the "Women" in your life, by sending a good long message, sharing a good song, giving her a flower or may be, the best way is to heartfully wish her!
I'll stop writing here by wishing all the women reading this a very happy women's day! May you shine as always, be more heard, more respected and more empowered!
And men, you are doing a great job too and a post will come out when it's your day!
Until then,
Stay happy, stay healthy.
Sharwani.
